Kelly Clarkson's song, Breakaway, is one of my favorite song. This song gave me so much feeling that I cannot describe, and whenever I heard this song, my eyes will all be covered by tears.

When the song released, I was studying in USA. It is a strange place that you can find people who want to know you, and at the same time, you can find people who don't even think you exist in this world. Thus, it's so much easy for me to feel that I will never be able to belong to there because of who I am.

Right next to my desk in the dorm is a big window, and I like to sit there in the afternoon. Out of the window, there is a street and a wide grass without buildings or houses nearby. Thus, I like to sit there and look out of the window with my musics on. I could sit there for hours, just to see some students walk by and few cars drive by. That is the way to help me feel a little peace!

The purpose for me to go study there is just to experience, to realize my old dream, to know how it's like to live abroad independently! And that's the very first time, I went so far away alone for a long-term, so it's really something big for me. Funny thing is that I wasn't afraid of being alone, or doing everything by myself.

In the end, I changed. I changed to a person who has more guts to do things alone, to live alone, and to dream alone. I had all these energy to want to be a better person who knows exactly what she wants, and would love to do anything to acomplish her dream. Thus, I worked hard and thought that maybe I could earn enough money to study abroad again.

Of course, reality kills harder than anything else. Earning money isn't that easy, especially I am not any extraordinary person. I forgot that when I was kid, I wanted to be just an ordinary people. And maybe it is the environment in USA made me want to be someone more than I prepared to be whole my life. Therefore, that "to be extraordinary people" dream only last for 1 year, and then I promised to myself that at least, I have to throw myself abroad once every year. And I did.....Michigan, Japan, Malaysia, Guam, and far!

And AGE too. When we were kids, we dreamed to be a president, an astronaut, a firefighter, a police officer, a doctor, and so on. However, when we got older, we understand more what is reality and then become more pratical.

Me, who seems to lose to dream now is kinda pathetic. I lost my way to do any thing, and I do not know what I want. I am not saying that I am frustrated, but surely, I really don't know what's my direction. In my heart, I want to know what I can do to improve what I have now, and also to try to make some movement that might inspire me.

Maybe I am just NOT brave enough to do anything yet, but I really hope that someday soon, I can make a wish, take a chance, make a change, and breakaway!

Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I'd just stare out my window
Dreaming of what could be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray (I would pray)

Trying hard to reach out
But when I tried to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I would prayed I could break away

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I love
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway

Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get on a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)
And breakaway

Buildings with a hundred floors
Swinging around revolving doors
Maybe I don't know where they'll take me but
Gotta keep moving on, moving on
Fly away, breakaway

I'll spread my wings
And I'll learn how to fly
Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye
I gotta take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget the place I come from
I gotta take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway, breakaway, breakaway
